Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant

Completed - 2006

General Contractor: McAlvain Inc.
Description: Lea provided electrical infrastructure, wiring, industrial automation, controls, and site lighting for the Salmon Water Treatment Plant, located in the mountains of Central Idaho. The plant building was entirely gutted and rebuilt. The new addition was designed to utilize the existing building for economy of construction. The facility filters 4 million gallons of water per day. A chemical storage room was added with bulk chemical storage tanks, chemical off-loading station, secondary containment, and chemical metering systems. While the existing plant was offline for installation purposes, state of-the-art water filtration semi trucks were brought in from Pall Corporation to continue providing clean water to the city. This created logistics challenges that were overcome with optimal construction sequencing to ensure the new plant could be operational within the extremely tight schedule.
Capacity: 4M gal/day
